Basic Pilates Equipment - Part 2

Health | admin @ 4:19 am

The next major option for basic equipment is a Reformer. This is a piece of equipment that is created from either wood or metal that has a carriage that moves along to provide some resistance as well as support. These are great to use because they can add more resistance to your workout than a matt could ever hope to provide however they do not fold up and move around easily. Most people do not have Reformers in their private homes, and you cannot pack it up and load it up in the car if you go on vacation or to practice with at home.If you are using a Reformer that are often ropes and springs that are used in conjunction to help provide a better workout safely and while still maximizing the resistance that the Reformer provides.

Most consider Winsor Pilates to rely on a mat the most; however with some work you could adapt your work out to incorporate a Reformer without many problems at all.It is important regardless of which you select that you are completely comfortable with your decision. You do not want to work on a Reformer if you are uncomfortable with the idea. In order to really enjoy the best benefits possible from Pilates you must be completely relaxed so you can concentrate the most. Never push yourself to use any equipment that you do not feel safe with, this can greatly increase your risk of injury.
